Dossier – Emily Rose

Emily Rose has become one of television’s fastest-rising young stars with an already impressive and diverse body of work. This summer, Rose stars on Syfy’s new supernatural drama series “Haven,” based on the novella “The Colorado Kid” from renowned author Stephen King.

Rose will play Audrey Parker, the shrewd and confident FBI agent with a lost past who arrives in the small town of Haven, Maine to solve the murder of a local ex-con. She soon learns that Haven is in fact a longtime refuge for people that are afflicted with a remarkable range of supernatural abilities.

Rose most recently recurred on the final season of the long-running NBC drama “ER” in which she played the role of Dr. Tracy Martin, an eager young intern who joins the hospital staff. Her other notable recurring roles include her breakout performance as Lena Branigan in the hit drama “Brothers & Sisters,” Trish Merrick on “Jericho” and as Cass in David Milch’s HBO series “John From Cincinnati.”

Rose’s additional TV credits include the USA pilot “Operating Instructions,” and guest-starring roles in “Private Practice,” “Two and a Half Men,” “Without a Trace” and “Cold Case.” Rose also has a cult following for her role in the extraordinarily popular video game franchise “Uncharted,” for which she voices and portrays the game’s heroine, Elena Fisher.

Rose received her undergraduate degree in theatrical arts from Vanguard University in Orange County, California and went on to study Shakespeare in Oxford, England at the British American Drama Academy. She continued her studies at UCLA where she received her Master of Fine Arts degree in acting.
While at UCLA, Rose was an active participant in Arts Bridge America, a program that fights to keep arts education in public schools, and she also taught at the UCLA summer Youth Performance Conservatory. She has participated in master classes with Tim Robbins, Henry Goodman, Helen Hunt and Annette Bening. Her theatrical roles include “I Gelosi,” “Dorine in Tartuffe” and “Wounded” with the Los Angeles Theater Ensemble.

Rose currently resides in Los Angeles with her husband, Dairek, along with their two bunny rabbits and miniature schnauzer.

Consumed When Audrey sees an old photo in the local newspaper of a woman who could be her mother, she decides to investigate her family origins. Meanwhile, she and Nathan look into an epidemic that threatens the town’s livestock and fields.

Butterfly While Audrey tries to settle in as a Haven local and as a new police officer in town, she and Nathan investigate the seemingly random destruction of a local bar. When other strange events begin to occur – even targeting Audrey herself – they must race to figure what the connection could be, and what or who might be making them happen.

Harmony Audrey and Nathan investigate an upheaval at the local psychiatric hospital – where something happened to make the patients normal for a time, but sent their doctor into madness. As they track down the escaped patients, Audrey and Nathan discover that whatever caused the temporary reversal has begun to spill across all of Haven – making normal townspeople go dangerously insane. Ball And Chain When extremely old men mysteriously turn up dead in town – and appear to be aging and decomposing at an extraordinary rate – Audrey and Nathan begin to track down whatever must be preying upon the men of Haven.
