Dark Horse World Premiere Aang Statuette

As the Avatar of his time, Aang is the only one capable of using all four bending arts: earth, water, fire, and air.  This statuette captures Aang in a heroic pose from Avatar, the Nickelodeon animated series and Dark Horse comics. This first-edition Aang statuette is making its world premiere at SDCC. The Chuck Jones Galley will host an event to show paintings and sculpture from renowned voice over artist Nancy Cartwright on Saturday, July 23rd at 7:30pm during San Diego International Comic Con.  The event is her first ever art gallery exhibition and reception, and is open to the public.


Alistair 1918 – A World War I soldier accidentally time travels to present-day Los Angeles. Filthy, penniless, with no way to prove his identity, he struggles to find way back to his wife in 1918. world premiere screening on July 21st at 4pm (Pacific 23, Marriott Marquis)

Saturday, July 23

The Production Designer reads 100 pages of nothing but words on paper — and then must literally dream up the most perfect of all possible worlds in which the tale should take place. Though the story may be set in some mythic past, the here and now, or some nearly unimaginable future — its always human emotion rendered in color and composition. And following that — the Designer must gather and organize an army of artists who, over months or years, in plaster or in pixels, will somehow render that design for the big screen. Panel will be moderated by Production Designer John Muto (Home Alone, Species).

Returning to San Diego Comic-Con for a second year, Culture presents its 2016 panel, “Are Heroes Born or Made?” featuring writing duo Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely (Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War), Industrial Light & Magic visual effects art director Aaron McBride (The Avengers, Jurassic World), and comic writer Christopher James Priest (Black Panther, Batman). The panel, moderated by’s Deputy Culture Editor Christian Blauvelt, will address the ultimate question: who are the greater heroes – those who were born with powers, or those who have none? – Are Heroes Born or Made? Friday, July 22nd – 4:30pm – Room 24ABC

Destination America will unveil more about KINDRED SPIRITS (wt) exclusively at Comic-Con International on Friday, July 22 from 7-8pm in Room 7AB in a Supernatural Super Panel that will unite ghost hunting’s elite investigators for one night only. Join PARANORMAL LOCKDOWN’s Nick Groff and Katrina Weidman – who are also currently in production on the show’s second season – Adam Berry and Amy Bruni from KINDRED SPIRITS (wt), and the “Godfather of the Paranormal” John Zaffis from HAUNTED COLLECTOR, which airs Tuesdays at 10/9c on Destination America.


ARCHER Live! to San Diego aboard the Inspiration Hornblower yacht at the 5th Avenue Landing (located behind the Convention Center) on Thursday, July 21. The event kicks off with a deep dive into the universe of the beloved, Emmy®-nominated animated spy/P.I. comedy Archer, with an exciting live performance featuring the entire cast. Fans will enjoy live entertainment, food, drinks, giveaways, a photo booth and lounge while docked at the marina.
