From www.huffingtonpost.com – A new report, released Monday, by the Media, Diversity, & Social Change Initiative at the University of Southern California’s Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism.In the annual Hollywood diversity report, researchers examined the top 100 films of 2016 based on U.S. box office success and found that Latinos continue to be grossly underrepresented in film. The new data is a part of the “Inequality in 900 Popular Films: Examining Portrayals of Gender, Race/Ethnicity, LGBT, and Disability” report, which analyzes diversity in the top 100 films of each year between 2007 and 2016 (excluding 2011).
