  1. I have not seen this movie yet but I believe that the premise of this movie may have been “borrowed” from the 2013 novel by Jonathan Brookes entitled “Relic”.

The book described a scenario in which some rogue, black-ops faction of the military attempts to clone Neanderthals in order to create a superior soldier. This rogue military group, working with a military contractor, could inadvertently unleash a past that should have remained extinct.

The novel Relic by Jonathan Brookes is a fast paced science fiction thriller that explores that possibility of resurrecting and weaponizing Neanderthals.

    • Thanks for your comment. The stories seem vastly different to me. There are no super soldiers in Tim Disney’s movie. The only common thread is that Neanderthals are in each project.
