TREK TUESDAY
James Hiroyuki Liao on Michelle Yeoh: I remember the episode in Discovery and it was just this really, really tinny short blip in a flashback memory of Georgiou”s to a body that was there. No face, no nothing as she goes, right? And then it was like, that was it and everything. So what really gave me the roadmap, you know, to work on and just let my imagination run wild was this very fertile thing that Craig Sweeney wrote. Like there are no words that I can, I can use to adequately describe what she means to me, what, what she’s done for so many people, the grace with which she’s done it, the excellence with which she’s done it, and opening doors and opportunities for so many people almost single handedly.
And then, and then being everything that you’d hope she’d be, but even more like it’s, you can’t get better than this. So to even just talk to her, not even specifically about particular beats or moments or whatever, just who she is as a person, how she’s so genuine, there’s not a fake bone in her body, right. That just being in her presence, it doesn’t take much to be like, of course I was in love with her. Right?
