Amanda Brugel: Dark Matter’s First In The Box

Award-winning Canadian actress Amanda Brugel joins Tony Tellado for a fascinating conversation about a career that has taken her from horror and science fiction to acclaimed dramas and some of television’s most memorable genre series.

We discuss her role in Dark Matter, where she portrays Blaire Caplan, the first person to successfully use the Box to travel between alternate realities. The conversation explores the show’s mind-bending exploration of parallel worlds, identity, choice, and the consequences of stepping into versions of reality shaped by different decisions.

Amanda shares insights into bringing Blaire to life, joining the world of Dark Matter, and why science fiction remains one of the most powerful genres for examining what it means to be human.
